In 1979, director Ridley Scott gave us a dark and disturbing antidote to the charm of Star Wars. Alien was a hit, dark and brooding, scary and bloody, it was a game of cat and mouse on a spaceship with an alien with acid for blood. The ending of the movie was final, that was it. It was a hit with audiences and has become something of a cult classic, there was no doubt a sequel would be in the works. But how do you top a classic horror movie?
